One leg in the chair, two eyes on the chair

A familiar crib of the Modern Indian Neta is that the media reduces them to caricatures in the eyes of the people. But who’s to blame for this?

After repeatedly putting his chief ministerial foot in the mouth, which prompted him to take sharanu in mouna, former deputy chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa demonstrates (once again) that, multi-faceted as he may be, he is either not a born athlete—or that he has a very unrealistic opinion about the quality of our plastic and the durability of our chairs (pun intended).

Yedi stood up to receive a Basava Jyoti brought to Bangalore from Basavakalyan yesterday, but he went straight through the chair that is still not his. At least not yet.

But a politician is not a politician if he cannot find a scapegoat or blame somebody. For proof, we offer Yediyurappa’s eyes (2 nos.). Blazing with anger once again at being done in.
