K.N. Govindacharya it was, who famously termed Atal Behari Vajpayee as the mukhota (the mask) in 1995. The insinuation was that Lal Krishna Advani was the real power behind the throne; that Vajpayee was just the “good cop” to woo voters and allies.
In 2007, the mask has come full circle, in the eyes of cartoonist Surendra in The Hindu; it is Advani who now needs the mukhota given the abrasive belligerence of the likes of Narendra Modi.

When DG and Italian Gandhi can call the shots without being in the administration or holding official position, what’s wrong with Advani calling shots or being proxy for Vajpayee. He was deputy PM and expected to fill that role.
As in a successful business there is a person to run operations inside the company (who is president) and a person to be the face of the company (the CEO) involved in the strategy and development. Advani and Vajpayee filled these roles effectively and amicably with great respect to each other.

Is it me or did someone find this post disgusting? What exactly are “cheddi-wearing”? Isnt the term derogatory? I am sure just like the other thread, where this sicko stoops down to making racist comments and packing his shirt off, I suppose the same applies here.
