If it stays the same way, it’s the National Tricolour.More and more saffron, it will look like the Dutch football team- all saffron.

State by State, many non congress govts were formed in the late eighties, after the emergency. But congress bounced back. Parties will come, parties will go, but congress seems to have the resilience to hold on to its fort (35% vote share in Karnataka after 60 years of incumbency…is a fantastic achievement)

Remember the saffron is of various tones. It is not a UNIFORM orange. Trouble will erupt when Advanis and Jaitleys try to use their saffron-dipped (poison-tipped) brushes to paint the whole countryscape a deep deep saffron, and give it the aura of Hanuman Chalisa. Take a lesson from nature: the sky is drenched in flames as the sun rises, and when it sets. When people work, play and live through the day and go to bed to rest at night, there is no orange tinge anywhere. So mere invoking and inciting does not a life make! Orange flames burn and destroy.

Very poetic from Hosa-belaku!
But ironic that the Hosa-belaku which is normally orange in the mornings and evenings should be against orange spread!
Anyway… I feel this is just a quadrant in the circle of the country’s electoral statistics. Even when the NDA was in power, there was victory after victory for the Congress in the states… now the tables have turned… and will turn again…..and again and again!

One change in your map, congress and UPA lost nagaland recently, it is with a BJP ally and they are also a part of NDA (the NPF).

It was interesting that Rajdeep Sardesai started the day with a Blue jubba and ended with an orange one!!!!
Every one knows how much he loves congress…. But in todays’s world of high scrutiny.. he should have been neutral I thought at least in his dress code!!!

Come on Shravan, hosa belaku is not just daybreak or sundown …you know that. It can even be the light breaking through the clouds after rains –that can be VIBGYOR!

Green turning saffron? Churumuri can do wonderful verbal gymnastics, but this time it has chosen an “oxymoron.” Rejoice emmethammannas.

Hmmm I’d say that this is expectedly obvious considering that the UPA is pretty pathetic at governance due to lack of competition. It is exactly the reason that BJP strives to do well in most states.
