Something that only one boy can earn or gain

By churumuri

U.B. VASUDEV, in Tampa, Florida, forwards a YouTube video of Sameer Mishra, the 13-year-old Indiana boy of Indian origin, who spelt guerdon—”something that one has earned or gained”—correctly to win the 2008 National Scripps Spelling Bee competition.

“Sameer provided a lot of comic relief during the competition with his one-liners and was the crowd favorite.  The runner-up was another Indian kid, Siddharth Chand from Michigan.”

I am trying to wonder what the difference is between aaj tak and churumuri, standards are eroded.

Something that only one boy/girl can earn or gain when born/brought up in USA! Period.

I watched the final…Indian American kids dominated the entire event. But none of the main stream American media was ready to accept the fact that they are Asian Indians…If there is some thing bad about US born Asian Indians, they will utter the word India 200 times.
