The 15th general elections are now on but we will never know who is winning till it is all over. Reason: the Election Commission, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that “scientifically” done opinion polls and exit polls are more dangerous to the democratic process than unscientific opinions and reports.
But, since the ban doesn’t extend to blogs, why should that stop us from guessing which party and which alliance will come to power? What will be the final tally and who do you think will be the next prime minister of India?

Media and pollsters always over-rate BJP and underestimate Cong
In 2004, entire media over estimated BJP’s numbers and under estimated Cong numbers.
In delhi assembly last year, they over estimated BJP.
In MP and Chattisgarh, they overestimated BJP. it got much lesser than what pollsters suggested….and Cong did much better
This time also media and pollsters are speculating BJP will get around 130 and cong around 150.
This again is over estimating BJP which will fall below 130 adn Cong which will rise abouve 150

Same question again. Lets reframe it and ask people WHO IS MOST ELIGIBLE TO BE THE OPPOSITION LEADER?
And, imagine Mayawati becoming PM. What an “Elephantine” problem! She will install her statues everywhere and we have see her face every morning when we get up. Karaagre vasathe Lakshmi, Karamadhye Saraswathi, Karamoole sthithe Gowri Mayawati Namosthute. :D

The fourth front will not make a powerfull kingmaker. Congress has and continues to make enemies. That leaves only BJP . I can visualise parties wanting to support BJP, if nothing else, to avoid another election in the near future.

Even as the tallest of the BJP leader Mr.Atal Behari Vajpayee is bed ridden and is not in a position to canvass for the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the projection of Mr L K Advani as BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate will influence many not-committed-to-any-Part y voters to vote for the BJP in in the elections all over the country.
As Congress has failed to project a suitable alternative to L.K.Advani and infight with in the Congress has resulted in the party losing a lot of electoral ground and the BJP is gaining a lot of New Voters.
While Narendra Modi in Gujarat has provided a great deal of respect to the BJP, Yedyurappa in Karnataka has provided the huge base for the BJP.
However, the common believes that the votes propelling the BJP to a Government-Winning Vote Percentage is purely because of the L.K.Advani’s patriotism, self less service and spotless political career spanning over 5 decades. He is getting all the key public faces of the BJP to articulate the party’s point of view to improve the standards of living of Indian citizens and overcome the problems suffered by crores of poorer sections of the society.
Advaniji wants the BJP to benefit from the imminent collapse of the Congress Party. He has realised that empty criticism of the Congress party’s economic mess will not suffice in attracting votes. There is a need for the BJP to articulate, not now, but closer to the Elections, the BJP’s Agenda for Managing the Economy.
Advani wants the BJP to inject Patriotism in to the National Campaign. Since the last four years of UPA rulet, India-Pakistan Border has become so porous that Pakistan sponsored Terrorists are entering by the thousands, unchecked.
He wants the BJP to articulate an Internal Security Agenda that sanitises the Borders, prevents travel of terrorists within India and destroy all forms of terrorist shelters in the country by utilizing Citizens Alert Groups in every locality to assist the Security Agencies.
If Advani succeeds in articulating a BJP government capable of ideal Governance then the BJP might register its highest ever Tally of 200 MPs in the Lok Sabha.
Let’s wait and watch.

1. According to YSR camp TDP led grand alliance has done well in the first phase. Congress is really worried 2. BJP is expected to win at least 15 seats in U.P 3. JDU – BJP alliance has done well in the 1st phase. According to some Bihar reports Lalu himself may lose to Rudy 4. BJP has improved its position in Jharkhand and may retain its seats in Chchatisgarh 5. BJD and BJP may marry again after the results in Orissa.
Keep guessing till 16th May!

BJP is good when comes to State Government at least for Gujarat due to Narendra Modi. Before him, all were dumbs. I vote to BJP in Gujarat Assembly Elections just because he snores well in Gujarat. But again, he is zero on International Level.
But at the same time, it is true that they (BJP)cannot digest the power in the centre. None of the BJP’s has that caliber to sit and govern in the centre. They may boast anything. If you think about Advani, just recall his bloody Pakistan Visit…..They have no calibers…..
And so, for the Parliament Elections, I vote to Congress.
Any TomDick&Harry can project himself as a PM of the nation. I too feel, if I am PM of India, I will do this, that, blah, blah, blah.
But, just look into the past records. Our ill fate is that we always select a Prime Minister, who is hardly able to walk properly. At the dying age, anyone becomes PM and after becoming PM, he will have some knee operation, heart operation, kidney operation, etc… We are fed up with such Buddhha (Old) Prime Ministers.
Prime Minister should be someone, who at least dont need a surgery for next 5 years. This is a huge waste of time and money.

Gujrat is going towards developed state ahead of all, with BJP Karnataka also.
Bjp has so many highly capable persons for high post, but there is no mara- mare, all are under discipline.
Surgery can happen to any person child, young or old, we can easily see these in hospital.

Peoples are too sensitive to caste and party only. We are not looking for future.
Everybody telling Lalu will not win in Bihar ——- Even he led the Railway to a profitable one(+25000 Cr). If it done by an MNC executive what will be his performance commission.

Ms.Mayavati is playing lot of tricks- Social engineering- with caste and cash. May be it will help her this time even she has supporter in most of the states.

There is a saying “people get their leaders they deserve”. that is what going to happen.
What is Advani’s contribution to India. He devided (thereby destroying) India on communal lines. Led many “yatras”, and is responsible for the killing of many innocent lives through this yatras. What was the motive of his yatras? create division among the people and increase his party’s number at the Lok Sabha (without thinking about the country). Now, he is all set to lead the country.
Another leader, Narendra Modi. People may say development, blah blah blah. But what made him so prominent at the center. Because of Gujrat riots. WE all know what happened in Gujrat during those horrific days. Then, Sangh parivar started doing it in Orissa, Karnataka. What made Varun Gandhi (in)famous. He spoke against muslims. Does that qualify anyone to be a leader.
On the other side (congress, left, etc) , is the same.
why dont we get (elect) someone, whose primary concern is the country. Well, we dont have one right now.
Rahul Gandhi is somewhat fit into a good leader, if he is not misguided by his partymen.
Let us just hope, we might get one in the near future who thinks about the country and how to develop the country, not how to develop his party, clearing all these hate politics, for the welfare of our great nation. For that to happen, we Indians need to unite and throw (vote) out all these rubbish element from public domain.
