Decades ago, T.S. Satyan shot a famous black-and-white picture of young boys in various stages of diving into a pond. Modern-day colour versions (and variations) of it, like this one at the Ulsoor Lake in Bangalore, only underline the old axiom that the lake is always greener on the other side of the millennium.

Ironic indeed. People seem to be racing against each other to buy their salvation and the almighty doesn’t seem to mind it ; if he did, TTD would not be getting richer,ruder, ill mannered by the day while millions go hungry.
To imagine what this 45 crores in the right philanthropic context could have achieved pains me. Ex. 4.5 eye operations @ Rs.1000 a piece by Sankara Eye Foundation or sustenance to the likes of these boys when they dive into the deeper waters of life..

You are Right.Balamuri has been great funtime for youngsters for people in and around Mysore. Tragically it no longer is a secret place but a highly popular tourist destination.
