For months, Lalchand Kishinchand Advani and his tribe teased and taunted “weak, nikamma” Manmohan Singh for a public debate on television. But the shock defeat in the 2009 general elections and the searing criticism of his leadership have dented the debating skills of the Loh Purush beyond repair.
So much so, that at the BJP’s very private, untelevised chintan baithak in Shimla, neither Yashwant Sinha nor Arun Shourie, are “invitees”. Clearly, “the former future prime minister of India” has no interest to “debate” the two former Union ministers who had questions on the defeat.
Or does he?

Ad-vani’s fall from come debate if you can to shying away is indeed shameful. How can he exclude a person with above avarage IQ in BJP from chintan baithak (is it 6 or 60?)? This alone should tell you the bankruptcy in BJP.
Yesterday happen to watch Swapndas, the internet warrior of BJP, on NDTV. He was also clearly not amused by the antics of Ad-vani. Psudo-secular Vinod Mehta had all the enjoyment at the discomfort of the bjp.

It would be wrong to assume that Advani is sticking to the guns on his own only. If he is, then there is a split imminent in the BJP. On the other hand if he is there at the behest of RSS, even then it looks unlikely that you can save the party which is without an agenda for new India now.
I think that political observers and the BJP was aware of it even before the elections and thats why Advani did everything to win. Once they’ve lost, the realization has dawned upon them that they remain pariah even after 80 yrs of existence of the RSS. No organization can keep going like that without any synchronization with the demand and needs of the masses.
RSS has no choice other than bequeath its last in few years time.
My contention is that it would be naive to analyze BJP in isolation but with Sangh. They walk talk speak and breath Sangh.

This question is hardly relevant coming from people who are beholden to the great ‘Sphinx of silence’ Ms Miano. I wonder which congressi asked questions to Sonia mata or rahul baba during the string of assembly losses prior to the loksabha elections? Or during the string of multi-blasts? Or who cared to ask, why the Sphinx silencia doesnt want to talk. Oh puhleeeease.
The Destroyer of Babri may be wrong in not addressing questions from his peers, but so are the psuedo-caretakers of inter-party democracy.

Khan, Above average IQ in BJP ?????????????
13 August 2009 at 5:37 pm
Arun Shourie, the BJP’s resident intellectual for all matters requiring “an IQ of more than 60“—in the famous words of P. Chidambaram
14 August 2009 at 1:05 am
Khan & TKM – Pls post your respective IQs.
I need some hands real bad. Let’s see if you qualify.
14 August 2009 at 8:33 pm
Atleast there is an IQ requirement for the BJP, Congressis seem to have only one requirement, allegiance to the Italian Mata.
14 August 2009 at 8:48 pm
Watching : hands needed ? for kar seva..? P. Chidabaram was right, you need people of certain IQ for your organisation but can’t be more than that of your resident intellectual!!! I want to know about your IQ for you are trying to recruit through a blog site like Churumuri!!
15 August 2009 at 8:13 pm
TKM, why not recruit through Churumuri?
You responded so ably, didn’t you?
Now don’t be bashful. Tell us your IQ or try not to expose yourself so badly the next time round :)
16 August 2009 at 4:11 am
So, Watching, thanks for your comments. It at least is a tacit approval of the IQ quotient of yourself and your saffron party. You are bold, I say. Not surprising, for boldness comes with that sort of IQ :)
16 August 2009 at 1:32 pm
Ah! And I thought the power to assume wrongly decreases with an assumed increase in IQ :)
16 August 2009 at 8:36 pm
Low on IQ and high on EQ. Too much plotting, no execution.
17 August 2009 at 6:47 am
AG- When there is execution you will say there is too much of it :)
The wheel must turn.
17 August 2009 at 11:39 pm
By execution I didnt mean getting women beat up or trying to incite pogroms. I meant winning the hearts and votes of people.
If the brahmins/banias/other-such-types gave up some power and decision making to others there may be some chance of real execution.
But that wont happen will it :)
18 August 2009 at 12:48 am
AG – Your wheel is stuck alright.
And Brahmins, Banias and other such types don’t exist in the party that wins hearts and votes?
I like the way you stereotype though.
Since it’s from a liberal humming bug, it must be true. Ha!
18 August 2009 at 7:33 am
Watching, on the IQ of the party and its cadre, please read the Mysore Musings, ‘The Hindu’ dated 18 Aug 2009
On the MLA’s surprise visits to public offices in Mysore to ascertain their workings, his staff issues the circular to the media which states,’…honourable MLA would give a surprise and unscheduled visit to ascertain the functioning of a few public offices in the constituency…’ But not to content with it, the announcement had all the details about the date, timing and the places to be covered during the ‘unscheduled and surprise visit.’
It explains. isn’t it Mr.Watching? Like you said, you don’t have to be be bashful, the party and its cadre (you?) is nothing without its true nature:)
18 August 2009 at 1:07 pm
TKM – Aha! So 55 odd years of high IQ is why this MLA seems as educated as this?!
If this is the measure of your argument, I bow to such “cloud high” IQ!
Nice!
19 August 2009 at 4:39 am
What were you in your RSS troupe Watching Palahalli? Brahmin or Baniya?
19 August 2009 at 12:33 pm
AG – Unfortunately, the RSS does not recognize either or any other.
They would like Hindus to submerge their identities to the extent of not using their surnames.
You would be called “Anonymousji” and not “Guyji” in a Shakhe or camp.
So you would be attracted to the RSS if your a Hindu with no other baggage.
Are you able to understand all this?
19 August 2009 at 5:08 pm
If I were inclined to be a groupie, I would probably have joined something superior to the RSS like the christian church, some muslim organization or even the youth congress long ago.
Nothing much to understand, is there? Caste system seems to run rampant within the RSS – from the leadership downwards. Only a minion like you seems to be scared to admit it.
BTW since you skirted the question are you a brahmin or a baniya in the RSS, I would say brahmin.
19 August 2009 at 5:47 pm
“Caste system “seems” to run rampant. Only a minion like you “seems” not to admit it.”
Why should I admit to something that only “seems” to exist for you?
You obviously have little and less knowledge of what the RSS is all about. Nothing new there.
Yet you want to pretend you know the Earth from it’s entrails.
This from a fellow who derides others on their IQ :) Sad.
19 August 2009 at 10:29 pm
Not admitting that you are brahmin in the RSS aa watching :)
Naughty boy.
20 August 2009 at 11:21 am
AG, my admission or non-admission has nothing to do with what you’ll believe in.
So against this marked charachteristic of a “rational” mind with “high” IQ, what chances do I have?
Unlike that previous post on this blog, I’ll say – “if fools think they are right, let them” :)
