
With temples, mosques, churches, even a fire temple, all happily jostling each other, Shivajinagar in Bangalore is India, as our founding fathers would have liked it, in a microcosm. On Tuesday, the car festival of St Mary at at St Mary’s Basilica near Russell Market attracted thousands.

Ofcourse, it attracted thousands regardless of swine-flu menace, but became troublesome for hundreds X hundreds… while the traffic flow obstructed in the surrounding area. Needless to say, in these days slow moving traffic, jam, smoke-dust are common for Bangaloreans whether it’s the Namma Metro work, flyover construction, road widening, BBMP or BWSSB patch up work.. Nevertheless Good photograph!
