slow news day and all it is not mister. not a day of favourable news that is all.

why you make fun of leela’s english? correct only it is no? also very understandable. when leela says ‘close it’, it is so nice no?

  2. Arun Says:

hey..its not what it seems to be. this was not shown on a regular news bulletin. instead on a political satire show like ‘the week that wasn’t’. its a different genure altogether.

    aha..khiladi ri neevu tsubba..

  4. clash Says:

sreemathi is a disgrace to kerala not because of her english but her actions.

this is a communist minister who appointed her daughter-in-law as her chief cook, with a govt salary. a promotion within a year, was just a topping. daughter in law now qualifies for the state pension is a just another add on…

    freaking disgrace!

  5. Anonymous Guy Says:

The comedy by Urvashi/Meera Jasmine was funny. The minister was just like most Indians giving public speeches in English – boring as hell.

The mallu TV program seems to have a great sense of humour.

wat else do u expect from a proCongress channel ? incidentally, the owners’ grandsons wedding recently was attended by all mallu central ministers – the guest list is enough to understand the motive for such stories ! This also reminds one about an incident some years back when the Mumbai bureau chief of Week (from same group) magazine stuttered and stammered on CNBC TV18 defending his mag against an Outlook advertising campaign :)

A state education minister neednt know English but the bureau chief of a national English mag struggling for words is scary for the reader :)

being amidst lot of ‘thengina gidas’ here in my office , i can get hours of such footage… sigh ….

  8. Narayana Says:

when I was passing by Shrimati’s house, I was taken aback when I heard this.
Shrimathi was screaming into the microphone.

First ‘em come. Then I come and then Siss come then I pee pee and I come.

Shrimathi was taking English test on computer and question was spell “Mississippi”.!!!

  9. Raaja Says:

    Narayana :)

    Meera Mallige speaks well though.

  10. Pulikeshi the Last Says:

Let’s conduct an experiment. No English, spoken or written, good or bad, to be used all across the country for three days in a row.

  11. B F Firos Says:

Sreemathi is a pathetic minister Kerala has ever seen. She has messed up a crucial portfolio like health. Here, more funnier is her speech than the film clippings!

  12. Toms Says:

The words most murdered by Malayalees are:
bass, twitter, Queen, birthday, Mascot Hotel, kangaroo (the worst offended word)
bear (Malayalees pronounce this as ‘beer’), mixed, fixed (another worse case pronounced as miksed, fiksed), form (they say ‘farum’), Tortoise, turtle, garage
chassis, heart (pronounced as ‘hurt’), Australia, All r’s which are silent are pronounced by malayalees
