This infighting is so typical of BJP. In state after state, BJP is wrecked with dissidence. Its the worst party when it comes to discipline. Check its record in the past 10 years.
1. Uma Bharthi was replaced by Shivraj Singh Chauhan after lot of dissidence.
2. Becauuse of dissidence in BJP, Keshubhai lost his CM post to Shankar singh vaghela in Gujarat.
3. Because of dissidence Keshubhai Patel was sacked by BJP
4. Because of infighting in Delhi, Madan Lal khurana was sacked to make way for Saheb Singh Verma
5. Because of infighting in Delhi, Sushma swaraj came in place of Saheb Singh
6. Because of infighting Kalyan Singh was replaced by some politican with RSS backing in Uttar Pradesh
7. Because of infigting Rajnath Singh came in place of some chap from RSS (his name is Ram something)
8. Because of infighting, Khanduri was replaced as Uttarkhand CM
9. Because of infighting, Vasundhra Raje was replaced as opposition leader in Rajasthan.
10. Because of infighting, Jaswant Singh was sacked. While they retained ARun shourie even though he said entire BJP top brass should be replaced. Double standards?
Now, any guesses what will happen in karnataka?

@simple… thats bcos dissidence is allowed within bjp.. as against subservience demanded by the haath giving party..now how many examples can you come up for the latter???

Is Yeddy more approachable than other CMs or KPN got gifted new cameras recently?

@Simple,
You can easily build a similar list for the congress in the 1990s when The Family was not in power or for that matter anytime when The Family was not the all-powerful Force (pre-independence Congress, or during Nehru’s years).
Dissidence is simply not allowed in Family-owned parties, be it Congress or DMK or JD(s). Nothing new, here.

Gold Star
Sonia Gandhi’s Congress is different from Rajiv Gandhi’s Congress. Under Sonia Gandhi, the incidences of dissidence is very very less. Almost no Cong CM has been changed under her under pressure from dissidence. In Contrast 15 BJP CMs have been changed.
Dissidence is not allowed in family owned parties?
Nourish your poorly fed information.
1. Dissidence led to Shiv Sena Split and the birth of Raj Thackeray.
2. Dissidence led to Congress splintering into many units Including various avatars of Janata Dal, even Devaraj Urs Congress, Bangarappa’s Congress, Trinamum Congres, NCP…the instances are too many.
Investigative Journalism.
Dissidence is allowed in BJP? Pre Sonia Congress, dissidence too was allowed in Congress –look at the two examples given above and you will know the truth.
In any case it is not dissidence, it is called uncontrolled indiscipline. Everybody says whatever they want against the leadership,thereby weaking the already weak leadership
1. Ex Goa CM calls Advani an old rancid pickle – and this ex Goa CM who continue to be in BJP.
2. Arun Shourie openly says entire BJP leadership should be replaced.
3. Kati patang, arun shourie says, of BJP. Yet both Ex Goa CM, and Arun Shourie continue to remain in BJP.
4. Reddy brothers call Yeddiyurappa Kamsa and yet they are not YET sacked as of now.
The truth is there is no respect for national leaders in BJP. everybody says what they want and gets away with it. What a poor state of affairs! You need a strong leader , not inept leaders who allow their people to call them all kind of names and yet mollify them!

@Simple,
This is what I mean… and I presume “Investigative Journalism” also meant.
In Family-owned parties, dissidence is absolutely NOT tolerated. It immediately leads to a split or expulsion. There are numerous recent examples that can be quoted (Siddaramaiah, Vaiko, Raj Thackeray etc). Or in other words, Dictatorship of The Family rules.
In non Family-owned parties, dissidence is tolerated. Not every dissident activity leads to a split/expulsion. There is some democracy, though definitely, not perfect. Individuals are not above the party.
