Sad day indeed. He was an actor with unique style and a disarming smile and not to mention one of the very few early stars of Kannada who made ‘fights’ look realistic on screen!

    My list:

    1. Bhootayyana maga Ayyu
    2. Naagara Haavu
    3. Makkala Sainya
    4. Suprabhata
    5. Hombisilu

I immensely liked him in his early years ie 1970-80′s. Later he just got sucked into commercial swirl of movies with lot of forgettable flicks such as Dada, Deva, Rudra, Polic mattu Dada etc and thus a wonderfully talented actor was lost to market forces.

  4. Faldo Says:

    Naagara Haavu
    Hombisilu

  9. Anonymous Guy Says:

    Sisya,

    From wikipedia:

Loosely based on Grease-2, the film revolves around the protagonist, who tries to woo a girl (his classmate). On being spurned, he poses as a mysterious biker, and sweeps her off her feet. Towards the end, she comes to know that the biker and her classmate are in fact the same guy.

If you want to check for yourself, watch both movies, the storyline is essentially the same.

Of course the song with cameos from Vishnu as professor and Prabhakar as principal is a classic.
