Now, the whole debate seems to have come down to the level of ordinary legal-framework of the society…. Legal system to me is very very primitive as compared to the TRUTH, Non Voilance, Self-Realization and other aspects of life that Swamiji was advocating
As long as Swamiji says-what-he-does and does-what-he-says, no issues…but, now…
IN ANY CASE, he is clearly admitting that fact that what he did (shown in video) is not illegal!!!!!!

Its such an amazing act!! ‘swami’ doesnt even seem to be even listening on Mr. Malhotra, he just keeps nodding anyway to glory. Neither of them have their focus on the other person while talking or listening. Its also interesting that they dont speak about the ‘scandalous video’ in direct terms, but speak about the PR of the organization etc etc. All that is spoken about the video is very on the surface and just admitted that the video is true.
Nithyananda doesnt come across as an enlightened person in this video, not that i know how one behaves when they are enlightened but he comes across like he is complaining. Sad. Most watched Guru on YouTube, impressive huh?! Try being humble.

(even though the big question — was that YOU — never came!)
nityananda is clearly aware of at least one important theory in psychology. he can spot logical fallacy. he comes across as a smart man.
the only moment that i cringed was when he suggested, in a single sentence, that he may be in the same league as those spiritual giants, sankara, ramakrishna, and vivekananda. he has never made an adequate case for that himalayan claim. none of the originals had ever assumed a grandiose title, built a commercial empire, or veered from vairagya. on the other hand, nityananada operates a hypocritical but highly successful business enterprise that peddles a popular product: “spiritual succor.” his curative water seems to be from the same well that’s allegedly causing the gastro-enteritis. in that sense, he is little indeed.
i wish mr. malhotra had named some individuals in the media — top editors — who practiced disgraceful journalism in pursing this affair. even if nithyananada disgraced sanyas, it is no excuse for a fourth pillar of democracy to have disgraced the democracy.
for the most part, the conduct of the southern broadcast media — not just sun tv — showed a lack of integrity: there was no investigative journalism; no fairness to multiple sides of the story through interviews with all affected; repeated, 24-hour broadcast of sensational material until the karnataka high court called a halt in the interests of younger children; almost no intellectual discussion of the video or the dispute.
if nityananda was guilty of breaching the public’s trust, then so were those broadcast channels. and the latter’s consequence for our democracy could be far worse.

Best remedy to this fiasco, this conman should marry the aged/retired actress Ranjita, and produce a back dated marriage certificate going back to 5-6 years and then sue the SUN Network. That would complete the whole charade that this swami(?) started. But he should be careful enough to ensure that the marriage certifcate is dated after Ranjita’s divorce from the menon guy…otherwise it will lead us to another round of controversies and the TV channels will go berserk airing it and will bore the hapless viewers to death.

Yawn. What’s the issue here? Swami having sex or getting caught? Any 32 year old human being has to have sex. Max you can do is to book a case on him for hypocrisy for preaching celibacy. Which in itself is not a crime. But its shocking for me to learn that so many people are shocked to see him having sex. What did you think, this swami or any other swami really practice celibacy? Get real. This swami may be a fraud, but there is a bigger fraud and its called religion and god.

I had thought that only those Sun TV, TOI, Times Now and NDTV keep venting anger against anything that is Hindu. Now even in a pure “sweetu khara coffee” place like CHURMURI, I am seeing this anti-hinduism being vented with not much rhyme or reason. SHAME ON YOU. Karnataka, Mysooru and Bengaluru are all HINDU BASTIONS and that is why Sages, Rishis, Big temples and wonderful spiritual ashramas are relocating to this region. Your idea was pretty good. It’d have put the TV’s broadcasting the video on the dock (gross invasion of privacy of a law abiding citizen)!!
But, Nityananda has a problem. He has a need to continue his charade. So, he has come out claiming it was him being ‘treated’ when he was ill and in Deep samadhi!
Wonder why he felt the need to go in to a samadhi in a closed room with TV being on, alone with a lovely lady.. :-)

I do agree that there is a huge amount of inertia in our parties. But, what bugs me is this. I don’t want to be a cynic and think that all the top leaders of BJP/Congress are insensitive.
I don’t see how a sensitive man/woman not feel a grave wrong was done on their watch. The wrong is done to citizens of India (not Muslim or Hindu). And saying sorry for a failure to protect citizens is the least one can do?

Nithyananda says he was having sexual experiments with his chosen female companions . What a travesty and perversion. In all religions including Hinduism, incest is an immoral sex activity, but some people get involved in it.
Some people who are both victims and perpetrators of incest may seek the guidance, advice and teachings of Nithyananda on how to kill this animal lust in incest sex between a sister and brother, between the nephew and ones own mother’s younger sister etc. Would our fraud man Nithyananda say then that he has to get involved in incest sex with his blood relations in order to do the experiment on the effects of incest before advising his disciples on how to control their animal sex lust and prevent incest? This is absolutely ridiculous. Who is our Swamiji trying to fool?

I am curious. How did this grinning fraud, untouched by his own stupidity, manage to escape the lynching? What is the samaadhi state he claims to have been in at the time he was videoed with the bimbo? How can somebody with his yogic powers be unwell? Says he ran off because his life was in danger. If that is true, what is the difference between him and us poor mortals?
Playing the devil’s advocate for a second here. Did Nithyaananda ever claim that his supposed yogic powers were a result of his following brahmacharya? Are we jealous that he has had a chance to get his rocks off with many attractive women?
I think Maadhwa siddhaanta is best. It allows one to become a sanyasi after one has experienced marital life. It does not advocate the kind of drastic measures that AG is talking about.
With all the talk about whether Sonia is superior to her mother-in-law (our vyamoha for bili thogalu will never go away), I wonder what Chandra Swamy and another “godman” called Dhirendra Brahmachari have to say about our own Hitler who was undone by her Sikh bodyguards.
To go back a couple of generations from Indiramma, why is that Indians show such little interest in Gandhi’s dalliance with Sarala Behan or his experiments with sexual truth, testing the power of his abstinence by flopping down between two young women on a fairly regular basis? Why did our brown psyche happily ignore Jawaharlal bedding a married white woman fairly frequently, travelling to meet her at taxpayer’s expense? Ah, the brown man’s burden.
Vinay is right. The fault lies with our self-indulgent, self-righteous ways of viewing the world. If three idiots gave away twenty one acres of prime agricultural/industrial land to a Konga cousin, who are we to whine about it? What is of interest to me is how Nithyaananda added another forty acres to the spread.
I am deeply disappointed that our Kannada kaligalu did not try to force some passable Kannada down the throat of the Tam swami. This when a Tamiz person establishes an empire in Kannada heartland, about thirty miles south from East Bengaluru, which is virtually a colony of non-Kannada speakers. Perhaps this should not surprise us because Bidadi is part of a district we call Raamanagaram after the fashion of Tamils and Chennapatna is really a Chennai in our midst.

I am not a Nityananda devotee. Also, I am from the North. But please read even 2 comments from swami’s devotees on their website dhyanpeetam.org or Just see 2 videos of the swami on any topic on you tube. Common guys! Nityananda surely has something. Yes, its unfortunate for him, his ashram and his organization for the time-being. His devotees are spread across the globe. Most devotees are highly educated, upwardly mobile, who can think for themselves and know what they are doing. Most devotees were extremely critical of the swami and later turned around after really experiencing the energy. Some less informed guys here keep talking, and some criminals using masked names try to take advantage of the happenings. So, please relax, know everything and then come to a conclusion. Don’t keep bashing!

I believe in Daily Bliss Supreme Swan when he says he was in a ‘trance’ when the ‘devotion’ was being performed by his lady disciple somewhere around his nether parts. Wouldn’t you all be in a bliss, in a manner of speaking in a situation like this? I defer to Vinayananda’s thesis here,,,but then I ask what was the need for needless pixellation of the offending video? Color or B/W DBSS looks the same spiritual being!
BTW how come the well-informed Churumurites have ignored the news about another cross-bearing Vatican-related Nithyananda who was only after ‘backstreet devotion’ toward his young wards?

My point is simple. I love the fact that this Swami getting his just desserts for Government land-grabbing. But frankly, I see more outrage over the Swami’s sexual activities than his land grabbing. And it’s not just the devotees, a lot of our great middle class Indians are ‘perplexed, pained and hurt’ because of the Swami’s sexual acts! This is just absurd – Indians place more emphasis on being ‘morally pure’ as opposed to universal values – that is what frustrates me.
And in fact, I strongly feel that the person who made that video and distributed it needs to be sued by the lady in question. A lot of charges can be brought against him.
