Why did the chief minister (*) cross the divider?

There are two ways to cross the post-1989 Berlin Wall called road dividers. One is to jump right over it in one hop; the other is to stand on it, consider the height, and then step down gently.

Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and Bangalore South member of Parliament H.N. Ananth Kumar demonstrate both approaches after the inauguration of an underpass at Maharani’s College circle in Bangalore on Sunday.

    idiotic dividers and footpaths like this have turned namma bengaluru into a nightmare for pedestirans. we’re easily one of the most unfriendly cities for people. someone please knock some sense into the BBMP and yeddy’s boys in the vidhana soudha. serious thought needed for designing of our roads and civic infrastructure.

    hahah! clearly, yeddi is facing a steeplechase, not a hurdle.

    Who said he is crossing the divider ? Looks like something else to me. Something a tad more canine-esque

    ok here is one more for you –

    Why is Yeddy doing SHOBHAYATRE?

    well…we would not need such “idiotic dividers” if we crossed at zebra crossings as we were supposed to, would we?? or for that matter if our vehicles decided to drive in the lanes they are supposed to drive in, instead of having two wheelers trying to cross dividers and trying to ride on footpaths!!! but wait…following traffic rules is useless but having more bigger dividers is “idiotic”…sheesh!!!

    Some folks at BBMP are surely making money outta this dividers scam. The height of the dividers is uncalled for. My 65 year old mom now can’t cross jaynagar, KR road to buy her groceries, she has to walk an extra 400 meters now.
    These folks could have settled for a low height divider which would have costed less material and money. Sure someone is taking the money and kickbacks from this.

    These dividers are the best thing to happen to our roads in a long time. I had got pretty tired of autos and two-wheelers coming in the opposite lanes all the time. Or shopkeepers opening up the dividers in front of their shops.

    When people dont follow traffic rules voluntarily, these kind of dividers become inevitable.

    I drive through Double Road every day to work. And every day I can see two wheelers, without giving a thought, going over the divider to get to the other side of the road. Sometime back, when the outer ring road was relaid, the divider came on par with the road. Again I could see a number of cars, bikes, lorries and tractors taking turn wherever they wanted to. And a couple of times I have narrowly missed being hit by cabs.

    What BBMP has done by putting up these road dividers is a good lesson for all those who had no sense of traffic rules.

    @Cheddi Chikka

    You make your 65 years mom to get groceries that too crossing busy roads? No man, you have to have more care on her. Lol.
