How Kannada news channels hit back at lawyers

After the free-for-all in the Bangalore courts on Friday, in which lawyers took the law into their own hands, clobbering reporters, stoning OB vans, etc, all the 24×7 Kannada news channels—TV9, Suvarna News, Udaya News, Janashri, Samaya, Public TV, News 24—blacked out their screens for two minutes at 8 pm and ran a uniform message registering their protest.

The message read:

“We strongly protest the violence unleashed on journalists by lawyers.”

Let us not have a word about Lawyers for ONE full week in any form of media. Will the media do this. Never!! They want brickbats and Masala!!!

  3. Vinay Says:

Duh – what a lame way to “hit back”.

  4. premnath Says:

It is also very nice thing to keep mum about the assaults made on Lawyers and always show what is good to you and things that are only popular irrespective of its truthfulness. All channels showed about deaths of two to three policemen in Friday, is this this the way hitting back, it is shame on both sides.
